Patrols In City Parks Proposed (Continued From Page 1) will be hired and commissioned also. The first four part time men would go on duty in the parks having heavy wooded areas, North Lake, Liberty, Johns Parks, at 4 m. and work until 11 p. m. The driver apparently didn't realize the motor scooter had been hit when the truck swerved back into the driving lane before it had cleared Cole's vehicle.

Ashlander Fined $200 ASHLAND Virgil mond Stentz, 35, of Ashland, RD 5, was fined $300 and costs and sentenced to serve 30 days in jail after he pleaded no contest in municipal court Friday to a charge of driving while intoxicated. Judge Eugene Puglisi suspended $100 of the fine and days of the jail sentence after suspending Stentz's driver's license for six months and placing him on one year's probation.

Harold Miscoi, 50, of Indianapolis, was fined $25 and costs after he told Judge Puglisi that he had five cars and only four sets of license plates. He pleaded guilty to a charge of fictitious registration. TRADED PLATES Miscoi. arrested by the state patrol for not having proper license plates on his car, said he just kept trading his plates around so he was certain to have plates on the car he wished to use. Paul Shadley, 48, of West Salem, pleaded guilty to driving off the right side of the road and was fined $50 and costs.

His operator's license was suspended for 90 days while he is working as as delivery man. Delores Walker, 24, of Cleveland, paid double on a charge of failure to have a driver's license because she failed to appear in court when scheduled and did not notify officials. Judge Puglisi fined her $50 and extra court costs because he had to issue two bench warrants for her appearance. of Firecracker Ruins Intercom A blast loud enough to awaken the dead was caused at Finefrock's Funeral Home, Marion yesterday when a prankster or youngsters set off a firecracker in the establishment's intercom system. The incident was reported to Mansfield police who are attempting to learn the identity of the culprit.

Police said the system was wrecked. Rat Killer Effective SALISBURY, N. C. (UPI) The rat killer formula whipped up by a friend of J. D.

Woodrow. who was troubled with rats around his house, worked fine. Woodrow tried it out in his garage and storage shed and reported the fled in many directions.
