Another thing which the street car people have in mind this season Is a' connection with the Park avenue and Fourth street car lines at the Sher-man-Heineman park, or Just beyond It, This will make a belt line of these two lines and be a matter of great improvement in service. She and her- husband, the late Rev. John Ellis, a year ago owned and edited the Herald of Uospel Liberty in Dayton. Eyesight Destroyed. At Forest, while Dr. Floyd Swlmley was charging an acetylene plant the machine exploded and he was frightfully Injured and his eyesight destroyed.

His office was wrecked and the report was heard for some distance. and Mrs. Bolenbaugb, with whom the hotel by Chief Weil on the charge of beating a board bill at Toledo. The arrest was made on a telegraph order from a Toledo landlord and the police department there. Ansther improvement which will be made by the Mansfield Street Hallway company and which can be done under the franchise without application to the council, is the building of a new and more ommodious switch west on Fourth street from Main street This switch will be built to Walnut street, anyhow. In case of big doings at the base ball park or at the' Sherman-Helneman park.there will then be plenty of room on which to switch the cars without getting things mixed up. It is stated that the rails and other materials for completing the new West Fourth street switch are here on hand and ready to be put in as soon as the weather will permit the taking up ot the work. In aidtlon to these, other Improvements, it is stated, that It is the desire to extend the local car lines out to the southwestern part, of the city to the corporate' lfmltsBd" also to build a new line to the southeastern part of the town yearsagft a franchise was given to some Interurban railway to come into the city via the southwestern part of town, but It evems that this road was never built except on paper and it Is no nearer being built today than it was the day the franchise was granted owners of the local street railway, it seems, are also ready now to extend the city lines to the soutn-west and give the people In that part ot the city transportation, something that the latter have been looking for and hoping for for the last five or six but be had paid 100 on the bill, leaving a balance of about $50. When the Toledo police department waa notified of the arrest the man made arrangements to settle for $60 and not have the officer come here and take him back to Toledo.
