WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4. 1923 THREE INHERITANCE TAX OF WEALTHY MAN FORMER CITIZEN Authenticated Copy of Rush Taggart, Wealthy New Yorker, Sent Here REAL CAVE MAN STUFF TOLD COURT BY WIFE Says Husband Dragged Her to Police Station. Other Matrimonial Tales An authenticated copy of the will of Rush Taggart, who died in New York City, Sept. 28, 1923, has been sent to this county to have the amount of inheritance determined.

Mr. Taggart, was former tax, Mansfield man and had property in Mansfield. The amount of his property in this city is estimated at $17,800. The total amount of property left by Mr. Taggart is given at 086.33.

The will gives all this property to his wife. A codicil added after the death of Mrs. Taggart, divides the property among the three children. ST. PATRICK'S DAY ASSAULT In the answer of Minnie Meeker to the divorce petition of Ira W.

Meeker, she relates how on St. Patrick's Day, 1923, her husband dragged her into a drug store in Bucyrus and, in the presence of strangers, brutally assaulted her. Mrs. Meeker charges her husband struck her in the face, choked her, then dragged her from the drug store to the police station, where he demanded the police to lock her up on a charge of immorality. Mrs.

Meeker says he could not produce the evidence which the Bucyrus police demanded, SO he was ordered out of town. The wife avers her husband accosted her on the streets in Mansfield, April 2nd, and declared he would beat her again. She denies all the charges made by her husband, especially as to immoral character. Mre. Meeker claims her husband was not only immoral but told his children his immoral acts.

The wife through her attorney, George W. Biddle, ask that she be granted a divorce, the custody of the children, alimony and that Meeker be enjoined from molesting her. The injunction was granted by Judge Galbraith. HUSBAND IN REFORMATORY. Elsie Beam relates in her divorce petition filed in probate court, that her husband, Charles N.

Beam, is serving time in the Ohio State reformatory for getting money under false pretenses. They were married at Lorain June 29, 1920, and have two children. The wife says she had to depend on others for the support of herself and two children. She asks, through her attorney, C. H.

Workman, for a divorce and the custody of the children. CHARGES GROSS NEGLECT. Ray Heichel has applied to the common pleas court for a divorce from Margaret Heichel on the grounds of gross neglect of duty. They were married at Windsor, Aug. 19, 1907 and have two children.
