E. F. Cleland, Ashland road. 1 OMPLIMENTING her sister, Miss Elsie Cowmeadow, wohes wedding will be an event of the near future, Mrs. Norman Burneson charmingly entertained ith a bridge-tea on Saturday afternoon at her home 011 Bowman street during the hours of 2 to 5 o'clock.

Sweet peas in the pastel shades, combined with baby's breath, made the rooms of Mrs. Burneson's home attractive. Bridge was In play at four tables. At the close of the game, tea was served the dinner room with Mrs. Wade Arbaugh, a cousin of the hostess and a bride of recent date, presiding at the beautifully appointed tea table, During the serving of the lunch, the guests each received a clever little favor in the form of a firecracker tied with white satin ribbon, which upon being unroled disclosed a tiny kid scroll upon which wits an nounced the date of Saturday, July the fourteenth, for the marriage of Miss Cowmeadow to Andrew Paule, formerly of this city but now of Cleveland.

At the close of the afternoon, Mrs. Burneson presented the honor guest with beautiful gift. Mrs. Arbaugh also received a pretty gift at this time as well as Miss Nell Dilmore, who played with high score during the game. Miss Clara Boyd, of Cleveland, was a guest.

A number of affairs have been planned for Miss Cowmeadow for the coming days before her marriage. These include one on Monday by Earl Troll, of West Fourth street: another 011 Tuesday by Miss Esther Yuncker: another next Saturday by Mrs WIlL iam Hazeltine, of Helen avenue. W. W. Class Has Indoor Pienic.

MONDAY Because of weather conditions, the W. W. class of the Mayflower Sunday school held an indoor pienic in the church parlors instead of going to the park as had been planned. After the delicious supper, a number of games were played and music was enjoyed. There were two guests at this affair, Miss Mary Benson and Miss Anna the wedding and palms, ferns and flowers used in decoration of the rooms and formed an altar before which the service was, said in guests.

Mansfield Woman At Governor's Tea. During the annual convention of the Ohio G. A. R. at recently, a reception and tea was held at the home of Governor and Mrs.

A. V. Donahey to delegates and members of the various patriotic orders which convened during the past week, including the G. A. W.

R. Daughters of Veterans, S. of V. and Sons of Veterans Auxiliary. Among those who assisted in the dining room and at the reception upstairs of the Donahey home was Mrs.

Grace Downs, past president of the Mansfield S. Auxiliary, The affair had been planned as a garden fete, but had to be changed because of the iclement weather. School Chums Aid In Birthday Party. Ten friends of Leola Oberlin were asked to her home Friday evening on Summit court to aid in celebrating her 14th birthday. The white birthday cake with it's 14 small pink candles centering the table, candles in crystal holdthe bowls of roses and the other appointments all carried out a dainty color scheme of pink and white.

In contests played during the evening, prizes were won by Herbert Rinehart Howard Brown and Earl Farshler.
