Sunday, Cleveland. He was in Bucyrus, resident A. Shell AUBURN "Rog" Shell, 44, died June 17, 2007, in born Aug.

11, 1962, and was a lifelong of North Auburn and New Washington. Rog was a 1980 graduate of Buckeye Central High School a and worked at Country Star Co-op in New Washington for more than 20 years. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, the First Commander of the Sons of American Legion Post 405, Amateur Trap Shooters Ohio State Trap Shooters Port Clinton Moose Club, Knights of Columbus 1718 and was a key member of the "Go for Broque" Band in New Washington. Roger was very active in trap shooting, softball, golfing, fishing, the corn maze in New Washington and spending time at the lake. He enjoyed especially being his with his nieces family, nephews.

Surviving are his parents, Richard and Alice Wise Shell of North Auburn; brother, Dan Shell of Leesville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Deb and Ned Heydinger of New Washington, Angie and Darren Trapp of New Washington, Lisa and Tom Biglin of North Auburn; nine nieces and nephews, Shelbi, Eric and Scott Heydinger; Jordan Shell; Chadd and Tyler Trapp; Alli, Lexi and Cory Biglin; and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Friends may call at Secor Funeral Home, New Washington, 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Dendinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial expressions may be made to St. Bernard's Catholic School.

Online condolences may be made fo the family at Northeast Ohio soldier killed in Iraq BEACH CITY A 22-year-old soldier from northeast Ohio was killed in Iraq in a roadside bombing of his vehicle, his father said. Zachary Grass was killed Saturday, his father, Frank Grass, said Sunday. The Department of Defense confirmed the death on Monday. "We had gone to a car show (Saturday)," Frank Grass said. "When we returned home, that's when the milltary was here." The family lives near this town 15 miles southwest of Canton.

Zachary Grass was a 2003 graduate of Fairless High School, where he played guard on the basketball team and pitched and played third base in baseball. Market 44842. Online PERRYSVILLE Glenn LeRoy Sprang, 66, of Perrysville, died Monday, June 18, 2007, in Knox Community Hospital Emergency Room, Mount Vernon. LeRoy was born Nov. 11, 1940, in Green Ashland County, and was the son of the late Glenn and Nellie Hartson Sprang. He was a 1958 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, living in Perrysville since 1965.

LeRoy was a 40-year employee of Ideal Electric, retiring in 2004, and then spent his retirement helping his son with carpentry work. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Perrysville. LeRoy is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rod and Debbie Sprang of Medina, Randy and 1 Shannon Sprang of Loudonville; daughter, Renee Sprang of Loudonville; five grandchildren; a brother, Norman R. Sprang of Loudonville; and a sister, Judy Warga of Melbourne, Fla.

He was preceded in death wife, Marlene Black Sprang in 1996, and parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 21, in Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Terry E. Ruther officiating.

Johnson GALION Darrel A. Johnson, 48, of 3850 County Road 51, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at home after a long illness. Mr. Johnson was born in Galion on Jan. 21, 1959, to Cliff Johnson of Johnsville, and the late Phyllis Turner Johnson.

He married Glori A. Breece on July 25, 2001, and she survives him. Darrel was a graduate of Northmor High School Class of 1977. Darrel had worked at Baja Boats, Bucyrus, Alexander-Wilbert Vault Co. and Longstreth Memorials, Galion.

Darrel enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. He is survived by his two sons and daughter, Jeremiah Johnson of Columbus, Peggy Johnson of Johnsville and Zach Johnson of Galion; and his sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Dale Van Horn of Johnsville. Friends 2007 may call Thursday, June 21, after noon at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia.

Arlen Mix Alton L. CRESTLINE Helen V. Shell Arlen Mix, 92, 315 West died Saturday, June 9, 2007, after a brief illness. Helen was born in Crestline on 1 Sept. 7, 1914, to the late Lloyd and Josephine Dahler Page.

She married Jack B. Arlen on May 1, 1933, and he preceded her in death April 22, 1965. She married Walter Mix in April of 1970 and he preceded her in death. Helen had worked for the former Marshall Furniture, Crestline, for seven years. She was a member of First English Lutheran Evangelical Church, American Legion Post 488 Auxiliary and VFW 2920 Auxiliary, all of Crestline.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Carole Arlen of Galion, Richard and Mary Arlen of Manning, S.C., Edward and Janet Arlen of Crestline; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother and sisterin-law, Emory "Short" and Loretta Page; sister, Alice Mills; and sister-in-law, Ella Mae Page, all of Crestline. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kim Arlen Miller; two sisters and three brothers.
