Richland county sales. tax receipts for the first week of November were $400 under the same week last year, but State Treasurer Don H. Ebright said a mixup in last year's records, and not a business slump, accounted for it.

Approximately half of the states's counties reported losses for the week and total receipts in Ohio were $156,000 under the corresponding week of last year. The state treasurer said an error in making last year's records credited too much of the receipts to the first week of November, titis, making comparative figures year show decline. Despite the slight drop in Richland county, however, receipts so far this year are $80,211 ahead of collections for the same period last year.
