19, 1907, in New Boston, Mrs. Lyons came to Mansfield in 1951 and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. The widow of Leo Lyons, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Bill (Alma Cole, of Portsmith and Mrs.

Howard (Catherine) Montavon, both of Portsmith, and Lucille Jones, Mrs. Roger (Helen) Likes and Mrs. George (Mary Ann) Karbula, all of Mansfield; 23 grandchildren; and 29 greatgrandchildren. Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Geiger-Her-lihy Funeral Home where vigil services will be held at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. John Blaser at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.

Born March 1, 1899, in Rankin, 111., he lived in Mansfield the past 10 years. Mr.

Pfister was a retired mechanic for a Buick dealership in the Chicago area and a licensed private pilot. He attended Grace Brethren Church. Surviving are four brothers, Emil of Loudonville, William of Bluffton, Levi of Leo, and Clarence of Mansfield, and seven sisters, Martha Gilbert, Lydia Stacey, Emma DeLong and Eunice Tucker, all of Mansfield, Clara Hassig of Detroit, Esther Friend of Defiance and Ida Carter of Livermore, Calif. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Emma Stoller Pfister, and a daughter, Mavis. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.

at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors where services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Gene E. Witzky, Grace Brethren Church of Lexington. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.

Lucille R. Worner BELLVILLE Lucille R. Worner, 64, of Poorman Road, Bellville, RD 1, died unexpectedly at home Saturday afternoon of an apparent heart attack. born Oct. 5, 1923, in Richland County to James and Sylvia (Grear) Russell, she had lived all her life in the Bellville area.

Mrs. Worner was a 1941 graduate of Bellville High School, a former employee of Mansfield Westinghouse and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Bellville, Tops 680 Club, the Rebekka Circle of her church and Pleasant Hill Help Another Club. Surviving are her husband, Richard whom she married Dec. 27, 1944; three sons, John William G.

and Clifford all of Bellville; six grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Russell of Bellville; and three sisters, Max-ime Stull and Mrs. Alva (Helen) Ben-ninghoff, both of Bellville, and Bette Ruth Snavely of Fredericktown. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Robert Russell, and a sister, Grace Williams. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home.

Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Douglas Pretorius. Burial will be in Colonial Memorial Gardens near Lexington.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Jefferson Township-Bellville Rescue Squad and left at the funeral home. John J. Cross ASHLAND John J. Cross, 92, of 1017 County Road 1357 died Saturday afternoon at his home.

Born Dec. 18, 1895, in Ashland County to Jesse W. and Laura Jane (Dalton) Cross, he was a retired farmer and a member of Clear Fork Church of Christ. His wife, Lena Stauffer Cross, died in April 1973. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs.

I.G. (Margaret) White Jr. of Ashland County; three sons, Donald, with whom he resided, and Willard and Harold, both of Ashland; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in Gilbert-Van Hove Funeral Home.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Clear Fork United Church of Christ by Tom McFadden. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery. Beyman services WILLARD Services for Sherry A. Stevens Beyman, 28, of 3265 Neil Zick Road will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m.

in Secor Funeral Home by the Rev. James Mayes. Mrs. Beyman died Friday in Galion Community Hospital after an auto accident. Burial will be in in Greenwood Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Born Jan. 17, 1960, in Willard, where she lived all her life, she was employed by Pepperidge Farms Inc. Surviving are her husband Jim; her mother, Mary Stevens of Willard; and three brothers, Chris and Richard Stevens, both of Willard, and Dan Stevens of North Carolina.

Corrections The name of a daughter, Terica Brown of Mansfield, was omitted from the survivors of William R. Bryant, whose obituary appeared Saturday. The name of a son, Coyde of Oklahoma, was omitted from the list of survivors of Ralph K. Huggins, whose obituary was in Saturday's paper. department awards went to Pat Christie, Kim Webber, Judy Keinath and Becky McQuillen, who all received National Art Honor Society awards, and Becky McQuillen, the Mansfield Art Center Award.

In the music department, Mark Olson received the award for instrumental music and Mike DeLaney for choral music. Peter Leicht received both the highest science and math department awards as well as the Ohio Certificate of Superior Achievement in Mathematics. Recipients of the Society of Women Engineers Awards went to Heather Thomas, highest honor; Samantha McDonald, high honor; and Tracy Smith, honor. In the businessvocational department, awards went to Dawn Gerber for business education; Robin Upchurch.r marketing education; Wendy Studer, occupational work experience; Erin Neider, drafting; Scott Boyd, woodworking; Becky McQuillen and Lisa Newport, co-editors of Onarama; and Bobbi Pugh, the Chief tan. Pioneer Joint Vocational School, students from Ontario to receive awards were Scott Michell for industrial diesel; Angie Stephan, receptionistclerk; and Robert VanCura, horticulture.

Outstanding senior athlete awards went to Toby Fraifogl and Bobbi Pugh. Ellen C. Lape MANSFIELD Ellen C. Lape, 82, of 318 Wood St. died unexpectedly at her home.

She was born April 13, 1906, in Mansfield where she lived all her life. Miss Lape was a 43-year employee of the Tappan Co. and a member of First United Methodist Church. Surviving is a cousin, Martha Graham of Columbus. She was pre-ceeded in death by a sister, Mary Campbell.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Mansfield Cemetery by the Rev. Calvin King, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Ontario ONTARIO Ontario High School honored its seniors for their academic achievements Saturday night, with valedictorian Samantha McDonald and salutatorian Peter Leicht topping the list. Samantha, daughter of Connie and Gary McDonald, 110 Hilltop Road, Mansfield, has maintained a 4.0 grade-point average. She is a girls' varsity tennis player, basketball scorekeeper, a member of Student Council and the National Honor Society and senior class secretary. In addition to her academic achievements, she has participated in school plays and RAINBOW. She was named the Exchange Club's outstanding sophomore and senior girl and was a Buckeye Girls' State representative.

She received a $1,400 scholarship from Akron University, where she plans to attend college in the fall and major in electrical engineering. Peter, son of Peter and Mary Leicht, 4220 Flowers Road, Mansfield, also maintained a 4.0 grade-point average. He is a member of the National Honor Society and American Field Service. He was a representative to Buckeye Boys' State, a member of Student Council and attended the Young Leader's Institute. He was also a member of the school's Academic Challenge team.

He has received a 11,000 scholar ship from the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering, where he will major in engineering in the fall. He also received the Ohio Board of Regents Award Scholarship. Other seniors were also honored for their achievements. Mark Olson and Melanie Ludwig were named winners of the 1988 Army Reserve National ScholarAthlete Award. Mark Olson and Deb Cichanowicz were named Outstanding Senior Boy and Girl.

The departmental awards for English went to Deb Cichanowicz, and Mark Olson received an award for fourth place in the Voice of Democracy competition. He placed 10th in district competition. Other awards went to Randy Zahn in the social studies department and Bob Norris, Spanish, and Deb Cichanowicz, French, in the foreign languages department. Judy Keinath received the departmental award for art.
