The break-in is still under investigation.

Mansfield A 31-year-old Bigs-by, man was arrested on a governor's warrant Thursday about 10:30 a.m. for extradition to Oklahoma, sheriff's deputies said. Justin Boyd Phelon is wanted on a charge for lewd molestation, and is being held in Richland County Jail, deputies said. Burson, no age or address available, pleaded guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition involving incidents last November and in February. Kathy Lucille Jung, 30, of 258 E.

Second St. pleaded no contest to and was found guilty of a drug-trafficking charge for aiding the Feb. 3 sale of seven doses of LSD to an agent from the state Department of Liquor Control. Jung was one of 46 persons arrested Feb. 19 in a series of raids at three North Main Street bars and a local pool hall.

She also pleaded no contest to a violation of the probation she received last November on a felony-theft charge. Henson found her guilty of violating three conditions of her probation: violating a law for the LSD arrest, visiting bars Feb. 3 and 18 and failing to maintain a 10 p.m. curfew. David Allen Grant and Douglas Allen Murphy pleaded guilty to a Jan.

8 break in of Madison South Junior High School. Sheriff's deputies caught Grant, 22, of 204 Malone Road, and Murphy, 21, of 3455 Ohio 545 inside the school after an alarm went off. Deputies sent to the school, 700 S. Illinois also caught Timothy Raymond Thompson, and a break-ing-andOentering charge is pending against him. Also in Common Pleas Court, Leroy Weidon 25, of 466 N.

Mulberry Mansfield, pleaded innocent Thursday to a marijuana-trafficking charge. and the jury began deliberations about 2 p.m. They were dismissed for the evening at 5 p.m. and began deliberations again this morning. Davenport was indicted by a federal grand jury in December for the armed robbery of the savings and loan at 2281 W.

Fourth St. MANSFIELD Judge James Henson of Richland County Common Pleas Court ordered restitution Wednesday as a probation requirement for Eddie R. Spillman, who received a suspended sentence for auto theft. Henson sentenced Spillman, 18, of 34 Sherman Shelby, to a suspended one-year term in the Ohio State Reformatory for stealing a van last November from the Fraternal Order of Eagles on East Main Street in Shelby. Sheriff's deputies recovered the van at Sabo Drive and McElroy Road after a high-speed chase which ended when the van struck a cruiser, a detective said.

The van was valued at $6,000 by its owner, Michael Radebaugh of 137 N. Gamble Shelby. Henson placed Spillman on three years of probation, ordering him to spend the first 90 days in the Richland County Jail. The judge also ordered Spillman to make full restitution, get alcohol counseling and obtain his high-school diploma. Spillman pleaded guilty March 5.

Judge Max Chilcote ordered a pre-sentence investigation Thursday for Vane E. Zahn, who pleaded guilty to a charge of gross sexual imposition. The charge was reduced from rape. Zahn, 39, of 146 Lexington Apartment 1, Mansfield, originally was indicted for raping a 39-year-old Mansfield woman last Sept. 3.

Reduction of the charge, to which the victim consented, lowers the potential prison term from five to 25 years to 18 months to five years. Henson ordered pre-sentence investigations for four Mansfielders Municipal court to the garage, which was a total loss, according to firefighters. Fifth and Bowman streets, Mansfield Firefighters were called to a car on fire owned by Greg Gerhart, 439 A-Bloominggrove Road, Crestline, RD 1, Thursday at 11:28 p.m. There were no injuries reported and the fire damage was confined to the car, firefighters reported. The fire was thought to have been caused when the car backfired through the carburetor.

West Park Shopping Center, Mansfield Firefighters were called to a car fire in the Park Avenue West shopping center Thursday at 3:32 p.m. The engine compartment was a total loss, firefighters reported. I il (it LOV Accused robber jailed in Bucyrus BUCYRUS It took nearly six years, but Crawford County got its man Wednesday when Richard Cremeans, 32, of Ironton, RD 2, was returned to the county on an aggravated robbery charge. Cremeans, who is being held in Crawford County Jail in Bucyrus, was indicted in November 1978 for the armed robbery of Eric Pirnstill at the Pirnstill residence, 418 S. Spring according to Joseph Poli-to, investigator for the prosecutor's office. Polito said the robbery occurred Oct.

22, 1978, when two men robbed Pirnstill at gunpoint. Taken in the robbery were a pick-up truck, a .22 caliber handgun, stereo unit, clothing and record albums. Cremeans was the only person indicted for the robbery, according to Polito. Polito said officials periodically look through old indictments and pull ones they feel they cannot pursue, but the indictment against the Ironton man was not thrown out because of the seriousness of the crime. "We plan to proceed with the charges," Polito said.

College center sets open house ASHLAND An open house for the John M. Ashbrook Center for Public Affairs of Ashland College will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 3, following a private dedication ceremony. The open house will allow community members to view the newly finished center prior to the Second Annual John M. Ashbrook Dinner in the John C.

Myers Convocation Center, which will feature Vice President and Mrs. George Bush. One of the main attractions of the Ashbrook Center will be a glass-enclosed replica of Ashbrook's Washington office, containing his desk and office furnishings. The center will feature copies of lectures and seminars given as part of the Major Issues Lecture Series, which has attracted such speakers as Jeane Kirkpatrick, U.S. representative the United Nations, and Lyn Nofziger, political consultant and former assistant to President Ronald Reagan.

In addition, the center will contain the 700-case collection of papers from Ashbrook's political career, which included 21 years as a representative serving the 17th District. He was running for the Senate when he died in April 1982. ADC funds distributed COLUMBUS April distribution of $1,366,090 in Aid to Dependent Children was made to 15,393 households in north central Ohio counties, according to the state Auditor's office. There were 6,686 Richland County recipients who received $596,804. In Ashland County, checks totalling $140,733 went to 1,589 households and in Crawford County 2,966 recipients received $260,687.

Huron County payments of $218,862 went to 2,512 and in Morrow County 1,640 households received $139,004. The payments do not include weekly ADC auxiliary payments, according to Auditor Thomas E. Ferguson. The principal April payment went to 587 more recipients than the one in March and ncreased by $5,804. 281 W.

Fourth Mansfield Police were called after a burglary between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Entry was gained through the basement on the east side of the house, police reported. A kerosene space heater was reported stolen, but nothing else was disturbed in the house, according to police.

365 Central Mansfield Police were called to a burglary at the Central Avenue garage Thursday between 5 p.m. and 6:17 p.m, Culprits ransacked the garage throwing items all over, police said. Various flea market items, tools and miscellaneous items were missing, police reported. Fire calls 608 W. Fourth Mansfield Firefighters were called to the rear of the vacant burning garage today about 1:54 a.m.

There were no injuries reported. Damage was confined sentence suspended on condition of no similar law violations for one year.
