Arden Gervase Schiefer GALION Arden Gervase Schiefer, 68, of 4768 Millsboro Road, Galion, died at 9:54 a.m.

Monday at the Galion Community Hospital emergency room following an apparent heart attack. Born Dec. 2, 1921, in Chatfield to the late Carl William and Zoeyrado Eicher Shiefer, he was married to Mary Jane Bean on Nov. 1, 1952. He retired in 1985 from Gledhill Lunder Co.

in Galion, where he was a truck driver. He was a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and worked with the Crawford and Morrow 4-H rabbit workshops Vernon S. Warfel CARDINGTON Vernon S. Warfel, 75, of Cardington died Monday in Morrow County Hospital after being in failing health for two months. He was born June 9, 1914, in Salt Rock Township, near Upper Sandusky, to William and Mae (Shuman) Warfel, both now deceased.

Mr. Warfel moved to Morrow County from Marion in 1949. He had been a painter at HPM for the past 15 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cardington. Surviving are his wife, Annabelle Swihart Warfel, whom he married Dale Elnor Clark MT. VERNON Dale Elnor Clark, 81, of Centerburg died Monday at Knox Community Hospital.

She was born Aug. 14, 1908, in Morrow County to Edward and Iva (McQuiston) Shaw, both now deceased. She was married in 1926 to Dean Clark, who died in 1982. Survivors include two sons, Doyle of Marengo and Earl of Mt. Gilead; four daughters, Mrs.

Phyllis Burson of Johnsville, Mrs. Barbara Linkous of Centerburg, Mrs. Shirley Pollock of Toledo and Mrs. Linda Sturgill of Cridersville; 21 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Cleo Fisher of Johnsville. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Snyder- Utterback infant LOUDON VILLE Funeral, services for Kevin Michael Utterback, 2 months old, infant son of Michael Lee and Susan Kay Quincel Utterback of Reynoldsburg, who died Wednesday, were held Saturday at the Evans Funeral Home in Columbus with Michael Tuttle officiating. Clement MANSFIELD Former Mansfield resident John J. Clement, 73, of 195 Edgefield Drive, Yellow Springs, died Saturday at home following a brief illness. A native of Defiance, Mr. Clement grew up in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield Senior High School.

He earned degrees at Ashland College and the University of Pittsburgh. Surviving are his wife, Abbie; a brother and sister-in-law, Bartlett H. and Katherine of Mansfield; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Auguste and Ruth Miller Clement. Calling hours are today from 4 to 9 p.m.

Flora Jean Breese GALION Flora Jean Breese, 74, of Issaquah, died unexpectedly Saturday while visiting a daughter in California. She was born Nov. 8, 1915, in Steu-benville, the daughter of the late Guy and Effie Wood Hildebrand of Mt.

Gilead. After graduating from Edison High School, she married the Rev. Robert E. Breese on Aug. 6, 1938.

Elizabeth Rinard Coates ASHLAND Elizabeth A. Rinard Coates, 66, of Lilac Lane died Monday evening at her home after a long illness. She was born July 22, 1923, in Seth, W.Va., to Samuel and Rosie Coldiron Jones.

She lived in Ashland County since 1936. She was a homemaker, a former employee of A.L. Garber Co. and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was married on April 24, 1941, to Charles Rinard, who died July 25, 1969.

On Oct. 3, 1970, she married Earl Coates, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Gary and Michael Rinard, both of Springhill, and Kenneth Rinard of Orlando, a stepdaughter, Patty Baumgarner of Ashland; 11 grandchildren; two stepgrandchil-dren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Homer Jones of Ravenna; five sisters, Hattie Harper and Geneva Lovejoy, both of Ravenna, Macel Peters of Hemit, Grace Sypher of Canton and Virgie Kitts of Ashland. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by two infant children. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Betty R. Owens FULTON Betty R. Owens, 62, died unexpectedly Monday at the Morrow County Hospital. Born March 6, 1927, in Morrow County to the late Clyde and Mar-querite Pleister Gregory, Mrs. Owens was a homemaker and lived in Morrow County all her life.

She was a member of the Alum Creek Evangelical Friends Church, the Jen-kins-Vaughan America Legion Women's Auxiliary 97 and the former Rebecca Lodge. On July 20, 1947, she married Paul E. Owens in Mt. Gilead, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs.

Thomas (Sherry) Graham of Cardington, Mrs. William (Paula) Klema of Delaware, Ohio, and Mrs. Vernon (Rose Marie) Lyons of Jasper, Texas; five grandchildren; two brothers, John Gregory of Cardington and Wilbur Gregory oi Idaho; and a sister, Mrs. Gerald (Wilma) Davis of Cardington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington, where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Kurk Whitcher. Burial will be in Fulton Cemetery.

Louise Cuffman BUCYRUS Louise Cuffman, 74, of 1213 John died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in Bucyrus Community Hospital after a three-year illness. Born Oct. 24, 1915, in Granville, to Alexander and Aylcie Carter Collier, she was married Feb.

14, 1935, to Albert J. Cuffman, who died March 30, 1988. Mrs. Cuffman was a homemaker who moved to Bucyrus in 1954. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving are four sons, Thomas and Stephen both of Bucyrus, Louis of Galion, and Michael of Grand Rapids, five daughters, Ruth Pearson of Cross Plains, Mrs. Betty Brown of Cincinatti, Mrs. Marie Belcher and Mrs. Carolyn Belcher both of Bucyrus, and Linda Risner of Marion; a brother, Charlie Collier of Bucyrus; a sister, Mrs. Reba Morgan of Bonaqua, 34 grandchildren; and 19 greatgrandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James Carl; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter. Leila Light Moore SHELBY Leila M. Moore, 92, formerly of 43 Bradley died Monday at Heritage Care Center following a brief illness. She was born May 23, 1897, to Willard and Ida (Patterson) Light and was a lifelong Shelby resident. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a member of First Lutheran Church and the Ruth Gleaners Sunday School Class.

She is survived by three sons, Howard of Mansfield, and Forrest and John "Dinty," both of Shelby; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Marilyn) Hig-gins of Fullerton, 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 1968; and a stepgrandson. Margaret Ann Buck MANSFIELD Margaret Ann Buck, 81, formerly of Mansfield, died Nov. 28 in a nursing home in Salem, Ohio, following a long illness. Born Aug. 21, 1908, in St. Louis, she had worked at Mansfield General Hospital as a caseworker, retiring in 1976.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, in 1946. Mrs. Buck is survived by two sons, Michael of St. Louis and Stephen of Canton, a brother, James Jamieson of Burton, Ohio; five grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Arrangements were completed by Ickes Funeral Home in Salem.

Elizabeth Ranft MANSFIELD Elizabeth McCambridge Ranft, formerly of Granite Street, died Monday afternoon at the Woodlawn Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born June 8, 1893, in Mansfield, she was an employee of the Mansfield Telephone Co. and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons Paul McCambridge of Mansfield and Richard McCambridge of Pompano Beach, nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Mary Brom and Jean Gast, both of Sandusky; one step-step-grandchild; and three step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Edward McCambridge and Frank Ranft. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Geiger-Her-lihy Funeral Home, with vigil services at 7. Funeral Mass will be of fered in St. Peter's Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m.

Ott, 43, 621 Reed Road, died Monday morning in Mansfield General Hospital after a brief illness. He was born March 22, 1946, in Cleveland, where he lived until six years ago when he moved to Mansfield. He attended John Carroll University several years. He was employed with General Motors as an accountant for 22 years, the last six years at the Mansfield-Ontartio CPC Plant. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and General Motors Golf League.

Surviving are his wife, Tang Kokwan Ott; a daughter, Kristy L. Ott, at home; a stepdaughter, Al Sai-pin, at home; a brother, David M. of Cleveland; three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Mary Ann) Desmarteau of Cleveland, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Starr of Hudson and Mrs.
