Superman "Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings at a single bound." Do you remember those famous words from the original Superman television series? I suppose Superman is the best representation of our desire to find someone who can take care of all our problems and can protect us from every form of evil. You see, it is natural to look for such a person.

We all do it from childhood on. The Superman hero is the "stuff" that makes good stories. The only problem is that in "real life" there are no supermen. Every man is plagued with human weakness. And no man is able to protect us from every evil.

But there is hope, and the desire to find a "Super hero" can be perfectly fulfilled in Jesus Christ. He can take care of all your problems and protect you from every form of evil forever! Direction From Page 1-B "One of the problems of mainstream Christianity is that it's a religion of the head. It's mostly rational and ethical.

What spiritual direction wants to do is open up other areas to relate to the Lord." The central premise of a spiritual director's life is knowing God, said the former science teacher. "The route to a spiritual director is a circuitous one. Spiritual directors ought to be people who have been on the Journey for a while." Willhite's 235-member congregation underwrote 80 percent of his costs in attending the training. The young minister plans to pay them back by helping people get in touch with their inner lives.
