Dickson was a member of the First Alliance Church on Cook Road, National Federation of Republican Women, AARP and Woodville Social Club. She worked at Westinghouse and taught Sunday school for 30 years at Park Avenue Baptist Church. She was also church secretary at Diamond Hills Baptist Church for 16 years. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward Carl and Joan Dickson of Coram, Long Island, N.Y.; a daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Dale Wolf of Mansfield; a brother, Carl Calver of Mansfield; and three grandsons, Matthew Dickson and Mark and John Wolf. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Earl Carl Dickson, on Nov.

6, 1993; a sister, Ethel Somes; and a brother, Howard Calver. Donald Stedman, 75, of 1293 Hickory Lane died Tuesday of an apparent heart attack at bis home. He was born March 6, 1919, in Pomeroy to Clarence and Ella Mae Collins Stedman. A 1937 graduate of Bucyrus High School, he worked at Mansfield Tire Co. more than 40 years, having retired when the company closed. Mr.

Stedman was an Army veteran of World War II, having served as a mechanic with the 504th Fighter Squadron and the 339th Fighter Squadron in England. He is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bette and Frank Catella and Shirley and Cal Beeson, all of Bucyrus, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jane Durigg Stedman on Sept. 21, 1972. They were married Nov.

16, 1952. He also was preceded in death by an infant son. Calling hours will be Friday from 11 a.m. until the funeral begins at 1 p.m. at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home by the Rev.

LeRoy K. Hostutler. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Herbert Springston MANSFIELD Herbert Springston, 64, of Chancey died Tuesday after a short illness. Mr.

Springston was born in Middleport to Earl and Edith Genhiemer Springston, both now deceased. He graduated from Athens High School and was formerly employed at Westinghouse in Mansfield. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Young of Canal Winchester and Frances Gramlich of Columbus; a stepdaughter, Dovie Romans of Marengo; three sons, Herbert and George Springston of Marengo and Burton Springston of Columbus; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Mildred Miller of Mansfield; and a brother, Harold Springston of Nelson, Pa. He was preceded in death by a son, Harold Springston. Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

WILLARD 6100 block of Franklin Road, Greenwich A 24-year-old man was taken to the hospital to be treated for Injuries sustained when his friend punched him Wednesday afternoon, sheriff reports state.

The man said he and his friend got into a fight over money, when his friend punched him when he wasn't looking. The man told sheriff's deputies that he planned to file charges. United Cleaning Services The owner of the 246 E. Fourth St. business reported that someone stole a $2,500 propane buffer from the downstairs garage.

The owner told police that he questioned all his employees but that none knew anything about the theft. 900 block of S. Main Mansfield Thieves pried open a 1975 Olds Cutlass and made away with $2,500 In music equipment from the car, a 30-vear-old man reported to police. The theft occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m.

Wednesday. Stolen was an electric guitar, speakers, amplifier and cross over box. 300 block of Wheotrow Mansfield Woman reported to police that she heard about nine or 10 gun shots in the area near her home Wednesday night. The woman said she thought the shots came from a wooded area at the end of the street, but police checked the area and found nothing. 100 block of Rowland, Mansfield Patrol officers found a baggie of suspected crack cocaine under a rock Wednesday afternoon, police reports state.

The officers first saw three teens standing in the street and smelled marijuana. The teens left the area, but police searched the area and found the crack where the teens were standing. 600 block of Springmill Mansfield A man reported Wednesday that while he was cutting down his shrubbery last week he found a .38 caliber Derringer under the bush. The man turned the gun into police, who submitted It to the crime lab. 1200 block of Fairfax Avenue, Mansfield A mbn told Richland County sheriff's deputies that someone stole a motor bike valued at $3,000 from his garage Wednesday between 1 and 6:45 a.m.

The man said when he woke up he noticed his garage door was open half way. When he returned to the garage later, he noticed that the padlock that secured the door was cut and on the ground. It was then he realized the bike was gone. East ramp at intersection of U.S. 42 and U.S.

250, Ashland After someone complained to state troopers about an Amlsh portable fruit stand set up doing business at that location, an Ashland police officer spoke to the 16-year-old girl who was selling produce at the stand, asking her to choose a different location with a sufficient Derm, so she would be off the roadway. 500 block of Evergreen Street, Ashland A resident told Ashland police someone forced his way through a window of the house at that address, taking assorted jewelry, two lackets and video games. Poling was born March 1, 1908, in Mansfield to Frank C. and Bess E. Lane Poling and lived almost his entire life in Mansfield. He was a 1926 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and a 1930 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, where he was an All-Ohio Player. He played for several fast-pitch Softball teams in the Mansfield area during the 1930s.

For 40 years he published the Football Review, and at the time of his death he was known worldwide as the foremost college football records researcher. An Army veteran of World War II, he retired as a lieutenant for medical reasons. In 1973 Mr. Poling retired from the Ohio State Reformatory after almost 20 years as chief social correctional counselor. He also had coached and taught physical education at Dover High School and Chesterville High School.

For 10 years he worked with the chambers of commerce and newspapers in small cities in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Pennsylvania publishing city directories. He was a life member of St Luke's Lutheran Church, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and the National Association of Uniformed Services. He was a member of the Mansfield Kiwanis Club for more than 35 years, an Ohio High School football official for 20 years and permanent alumni class president of Mansfield Senior High Class of 1926. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Booz Poling, whom he married July 11, 1942; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard R. and Betsy Grenfell Poling II of Loveland and Randolph M.

and Patricia Puglisi Poling of Strongsville; a half brother, Frank C. Poling II; and four grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Mindy and Matt. Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Finefrock Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. by the Rev.

Ronald Lee Spore NEVADA, Ohio Ronald Lee Spore, 45, of 124 Spore-Brandywine Road died Tuesday evening at Marion General Hospital. He was born Jan. 14, 1949, in Tiffin to Richard and Betty Bachtell Spore, both now deceased.

Mr. Spore worked at General Electric and Timken Roller Bearing. He was a 1969 graduate of Wynford High School and attended Lorain Community College. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Bucyrus. An avid bow hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Cramer Spore, whom he married May 28, 1971; a daughter, Traci Lynn Spore, and a son, Joshua Spore, both at home; two sisters, Jean Ann Rothhaar of Delton, and Patty Daiber of Nevada; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Nevada Chapel Lucas Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home by the Rev.

Ramsey, 7, of 1270 W. 45th Cleveland, died Wednesday at Rainbow Children's Hospital. He had been ill all of his life. He was born Oct 17, 1986, in Millersburg to Sherman and Jo Irene Rose Ramsey, now of Cleveland. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Janna Ramsey, at home; a half brother, James Rowe Jr.

of Millersburg; a half sister, Misty Rowe of Cadiz; grandparents, Sherman and Joan Ramsey of Cleveland; greatgrandfather, Joseph Phendler of Brook Park; and great-grandmother, Nonie Ramsey of West Virginia. Burial will be in Nashville Cemetery. Mary Louise Durbin Frary MOUNT VERNON Mary Louise Frary, 49, of Wimbledon, London, United Kingdom, died Sunday in London after a short illness. Mrs. Frary was born May 24, 1945, in Mount Vernon and was a 1963 graduate of Howard High School. She was a former employee of Country Curtains in Avon, Conn.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Frary, a son, Scott Frary of Boston; her mother, Angela O'Donnell Durbin of Mount Vernon; a sister, Rose Ellen Koons of Redlands, and a brother, John Durbin of Laguna Beach, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father, Benedict G. Durbin. Private funeral services will be held Saturday at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Wright Burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
