Her car crossed the center line and "swung around" into the path of a car, driven by John W. Sanders, 21, of 170 West Main Norwalk. Sanders suffered minor injuries but did not require treatment, patrolmen said. Mrs. Steinmetz died as the result of a broken neck, the coroner ruled.

LIFETIME RESIDENT Mrs. Steinmetz was a lifetime resident of Willard. She was employed as a shipping clerk at the R. R. Donnelley and Sons Willard.

She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Willard Emblem Club. Survivors include one son, Douglas, two daughters, Robin and Jo Lynn, all at home, her Mrs. Donald Evans of Willard, her father, Clinton Ashley of Akron, one sister, Mrs. Thomas Houser of Willard, one brother, Jeffrey Ashley of Willard. Services will be held at 2 p.m.

Edward Hudson LEXINGTON Edward Hudson, 47, of Lexington, was pronounced dead on arrival at General Hospital at 4:45 p.m. yesterday after collapsing at work at Perfection Manufacturing Corp. Mr. Hudson was completing his first day on the job as a cement finisher when he was stricken. Police said Mr.

Hudson had been under a physician's care for a heart ailment. He was born in Woolwich, Me. He had spent most of his life in Maine but had resided in Lexington for the past 14 months. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the bricklayers' union.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; one daughter, Mrs. Emily Baker of Bath, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Norma Kinder of Lexington; a stepson, Clarence Sawyer of Ston-ington, six grandchildren, and five brothers and a sister in Maine. Services and burial are scheduled for Saturday afternoon in Bath, Me. Lexington arrangements are in charge of the Snyder Funeral Home, Lexington.

Mrs. Bricker SHELBY Mrs. Ruth Marie Bricker, 66, widow of Byron Bricker, of 17 Raymond Shelby, died yesterday in Shelby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Green-springs but spent most of her life in Jackson Township, Richland County. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Shelby, and the Union Grange.

Survivors include one son, Byron B. in Connecticut, three daughters, Mrs. Harold Martin in New Jersey, Mrs. Robert Welsh in Brazil and Miss Annette at home, two brothers, two sisters and eight grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m.
